ABOUT MILTON GIFFORD

LAW PRACTICE

Mr. Gifford's law practice is limited to the areas of estate planning, wills & trusts and probate, senior law, real property law, and business law. He has been in private practice in Cottage Grove, Oregon since 1987. He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawaii. Mr. Gifford has a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University, and is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Lane County Bar Association, the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He is board legal counsel for the Cottage Grove Board of Realtors®.

RESUME

Mr. Gifford is a native of the Northwest and has lived in the Cottage Grove area for 25 years. Mr. Gifford has been a home builder, a logger and has worked in a saw mill. He has been married for 32 years, has seven children and eight grandchildren. He is past president of the Cottage Grove Lions Club, and a former board member of the South Lane School District and Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. He was President of the “Build It” P.A.C. which passed the bond to build a new Cottage Grove High School, which is now located on South River Road, in Cottage Grove. He is currently serving as a member of the board of directors for South Lane Wheels. He has been a volunteer judge for the Cottage Grove Youth Peer Court. He is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and was a Scoutmaster of Troop 132 for 9 years. He is a private pilot. His hobbies are gardening, mountaineering, water skiing and snow skiing.
